The Dog Academy was established in response to people who wanted a friendly, reward based and more social approach to Dog Training. In essence, a less formal but equally effective training plan involving the whole family so that the dog can work with the whole household.

Our trainer, Sally, has been working with dogs for over 20 years, initially working at a kennels and then moving into training and rescue. As an owner of a number of rescued dogs Sally found it particularly difficult to find a club that would allow for the development and rehabilitation of problematic dogs, and as a result she specialises in finding methods that work for the individual dog rather than using a single training technique like many other training centres.

Our trainer has worked with people with learning difficulties and with people with mobility difficulties. The training venue has been specially chosen to provide wheelchair access and disabled facilities.

In addition to Dog Training, The Dog Academy specialises in providing Dog Food, Treats, Grooming and Health products at competitive rates. We provide a Free Home Delivery Service to the local area.

To complete the package The Dog Academy also provide Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Services. Our staff are fully insured and Police checked so you can leave your dog with the peace of mind that it will be well cared for.
